CrossFit Electric City is a 5,000+ square foot warehouse gym and strength and conditioning facility located at 3014 N. Main Street, Suite L,  Anderson SC.  We develop individuals, athletes, and teams to reach high levels of fitness through constantly varied functional movements executed at high intensity.  Our training methods produce measurable results for all levels of fitness and all ages.

Our program efficiently combines the most effective training methods of weightlifting, gymnastics, and high intensity cardio. We use a great diversity of equipment, methods, and drills.

At CFEC we train hard; we push ourselves and each other to be better in fitness and life.  The community aspect of CFEC is one of our strengths.  We train hard together, which forms a bond among our members.  There are no ego’s, and no room for poor attitudes.  We are supportive, we are competitive, we are strong, we are humble, we are fitness, we are family…. We are CrossFit Electric City.

Combined, Cindy and Nick have nearly 40 years in the fitness industry. They started CrossFit Electric City in 2011. Honestly, it seemed like a good idea one random day… no, literally, that’s how it went down.  It was a daunting task, but they both had a solid base in personal training, loved the style and methodology of CrossFit, and felt like starting their own gym was the next step. Between the two of them, Cindy and Nick are CrossFit Level 2 Trainers, and have also completed numerous specialty courses including the CrossFit Olympic, Gymnastics, Endurance, Mobility, Football and Kids seminars.  Both have their undergraduate degrees, Cindy in Human Services and Resources from Anderson University, and Nick in Exercise Science from James Madison University. They feel truly blessed to be a part CFEC, it’s family, and the future of fitness in Anderson.

Colin is Mid-West born and raised, after becoming a jack-of-all-trades through athletics. He decided to attend Clemson University to play football, over other collegiate offers, where he would become a three year stater while earning a full scholarship before graduating. After college he continued looking for something to fill the void of the high intensity training he received through school.

Colin joined CFEC in August 2012 where he was immediately hooked. Shortly after his start he became a part-time coach who was assisting with the fast track and foundations classes. Colin joined the CFEC staff full-time in 2014.

Throughout Colin's CrossFit career he has earned many certifications including his Level 1, Crossfit Football, and Pendlay Level 1 & 2 Olympic Weightlifting programs.

Along with our regular CrossFit classes Colin is also the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for our High School program.

Colin enjoys brutal mountain hikes with his wife and daughter, heavy barbells and a lot of protein shakes.

Nate is a Nationally Registered EMT and works as a Graphic Designer/Artist. Unlike the other coaches at CFEC, Nate doesn't have an extensive athletic background. Nate was an amateur Black Belt Martial Artist for about 6 years, where he fought in some of the largest tournaments in the Southeast. After being commissioned for a mural in the gym, Nate was exposed to the world of muscle-ups, handstand push-ups, and the sense of community that is CrossFit Electric City, and he knew that this was something he just had to be a part of. Nate's wife, Allison, is a member of CFEC, and his two youngest children, Sammy and Marley, participate in the youth CrossFit programs as well.
